1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a government office. It does not keep official criminal records, retrieve government files, perform official background checks, or submit forms for visitors.

The content directs readers to Louisa County courts, the Sheriff's Records Department, the Virginia Department of State Police Criminal Justice Information Services Division and Central Criminal Records Exchange, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Access to Virginia public-body records is governed in part by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, Code §§ 2.2-3700 et seq. Dissemination of CCRE criminal-history information is separately limited by Code § 19.2-389. Links to outside tools may also assist personal research.

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Louisa County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create consumer reports, credit files, or background-check products. The site and its advertising partners do not provide a service intended to assess applicants, rental requests, insurance pricing, or creditworthiness. You must not use site content or a linked tool to:

• Make any other determination governed by the FCRA
• Set insurance premiums or assess creditworthiness
• Evaluate eligibility for a government program, permit, or license
• Review a renter or housing application
• Reach a hiring or termination decision

Where a lawful purpose requires a background check, obtain the correct official process from the Virginia Department of State Police Criminal Justice Information Services Division, Central Criminal Records Exchange, or use a qualified FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Louisa County charge, conviction, warrant, sealing rule, or expungement provision applies to one person's facts. Seek guidance from an attorney licensed in Virginia.
